Brittany Travels: Part 3

Thursday, May 11, 2023 14:24 | Filled in Travels

We decided to go as far as Brest and then return to Nantes for our airfare home, and so we continued.  As always through Brittany, one is astonished by the beautiful scenery and the creativity of the people.  So, we continued to be entertained on our travels and enjoyed every moment.

Pont-Aven again was a favorite of mine with it’s interesting architecture and scenery.

And of course one cannot leave Brittany without trying a galette.

We then found ourselves wandering along the coast and stopped at a few places along the way.

Along the coastal peninsula we visited the Bunkers of Point de PebHir and then on to Finisterre.

However, being in Brest we had to visit the Aquarium and it was great!  We spent much time watching the fish.

We only stayed a few days in Brest and then slowly made our way back south.

Crozon was one of our stops.  Sometimes, I would read or hear about an interesting place and just visit and see what there was to see.

From Crozon, we went to Douarnenez and stayed there a few days.  We wandered the town and took a hike around the bay.

After a relaxing time in Douarnenez, we slowly made our way back, stopping in Auray.  Auray was another of my favorite places, set with the old and the new.  We stayed here a few days before our trip back to Nantes.

We spent a few days here walking around but our time was growing short, so we left Auray to return to Nantes and then fly back home.  We will always remember our joyful time in Brittany and hope others get a chance to see it’s beauty in all it’s forms.
